Units/Divisions

Library Unit

The main objectives of the library are to provide relevant resources and services to enhance the fundamental programmes of learning, teaching and research activities of the polytechnic.



Works And Maintenance Unit

Works And Maintenance Unit is responsible to the Rector for the general overseeing and maintenance of all buildings, roads, vehicles, water and power supplies etc. and for all the polytechnic capital works.



Academic Planning Unit

Academic Planning Unit is responsible to the Rector for some specified academic administration of the institution.



Bursary Unit

Bursary Unit is responsible for all the financial operations of the institution and for the administration of the finances of the Polytechnic.



Academic Affiars Division

The Academic Affairs Division which is under the supervision of the Registrar is primarily responsible for Processing of students’ admissions, coordination of examinations and keeping of students’ academic records.



Students affiars division

The Student Affairs Division is responsible to the Registrar for coordinating policies relating to student non-academic affairs and welfare in the polytechnic, including regulations governing students’ conduct, the students union, and other students’ activities such as games, students’ associations and provision of hostel accommodation.



Medical Service Unit (Clinic)

Federal Polytechnic Clinic was created in June 1995 with initial staff strength of 5 technical stall made up of 3 nurses and 2 community health extension worker (CHEW),headed by a Chief Nursing Officer and assisted by some Senior Nursing Personnel as well as auxiliary health officers.



SIWES Unit

The Student’s Industrial Placement and Liaison Unit is primarily responsible for organizing the students’ industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) which is a regular and an integral part of academic work for all students pursuing the National Diploma course in Engineering Technology, Environmental, management and other Science-related courses. SIWES is designed to take place outside the institution thereby integrating the students into productive work while pursuing their various academic Programmes.



Consultancy Unit

Consultancy Services Unit is a limited liability company (FEDPODAM CONSULTS) of the Institution.



Registry Unit

The Regidtry is responsible for the day to day Administration of the Polytechnic; and is regarded as the engine room of the Institution where information from within and outside the Polytechnic is received, recorded, processed, stored and disseminated.



Sport Unit

The Sports unit is responsible for organizing, administering coaching and coordinating sporting activities within the campus. The committee shall also liaise with other sister institutions, states sports councils and the national sports commission on sports matters.
